Larry's Diet Plan

For years I've been told to count my calories, don't eat fat and to eat less. Recently I discovered that this is the hard way to lose and control your weight. Now, I don't care how many calories or how much fat I eat and I'm still loosing weight.

I have learned that it's not how much you eat, but what you eat. I am eating all I want and it's good food. I eat until I'm full. And, when I get hungry, I eat again. That is not to say that I don't get hungry, sometimes I'm doing something and I can't take the time to eat, but 90% of the time, I don't get hungry.

This is not a paid diet plan like "Medi-Fast", "Weight Watchers", or "NutriSystems". I found these diets do work but they have one major problem, they are expensive. They are businesses that make over a billion dollars per year. Each of them has other problems that I won't go into here.

This diet is food which, for the most part, you can buy at your local grocery store. You can also order some of it online, but not from me. This diet is more expensive then the normal food that we have been eating for years, but it is cheaper then the above mentioned diet plans. For example, pound for pound, potatoes are cheap and fruits are expensive. With this diet, we avoid potatoes and eat a lot of fruit.

The key to this diet is, as I have said, what you eat. You can lose weight fast or slow; it is your choice. With the "High Loss Program", you will have some hunger; therefore, I don't recomend the "High Loss Program". If you are in a hurry to get to your fighting weight, then the "High Loss Program" is here for you. I recommend the "Low Loss Program" because, it's a program that you can do the rest of your life. You can expect to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week until you get to a healthy weight. Thats 50 to 100 pounds per year. I believe this is the best way to do it. It will become a way of life.

So here are some rules for foods to avoid:

   1. Avoid foods with added sugar, any kind of Cane or Corn Sugar.

   2. Avoid processed wheat products, such as bread and cereal. Whole grain foods are OK.

   3. Avoid all diet drinks, soft drinks, energy drinks, and sports drinks.

   4. Avoid white potatoes.

   5. Absolutely Avoid foods with Trans Fat or Hydrogenated Oils.

   6. Avoid cookies, pies, cobblers, donuts, cakes, and candy.

Now here are some rules for foods that are good for you:

   1. Lots of Fruits.

   2. Lots of Vegetables, except white potatoes.

   3. Lots of Nuts.

   4. Lean protein, for example fish, chicken, turkey, lean beef, and lean pork.

   5. Lots of Water.
