The Transmission I chose is a Tremec TKO-600.  It is a 5 speed manual shift transmission with a .064 overdrive and can handle 600 ft. lb. of torque.

The shifter can be moved forward 3 inches simply by rotating the plate.

Below are the transmission mounting brackets that I cut out of mostly 1/4 inch steel.

The square tubing is 1 1/2 inch and 14 gauge steel.  I will weld them together as shown below.

After welding and powder coating.

Finally after mounting the transmission, I checked the engine intake manifold for level from front to rear.
