Final Assemble

The engine was built by Jon Barrett Hot Rod Engines.  It is a 351w bored out to 427.  It should produce 520hp.

Balancing the crank shaft is done by removing or adding weight.  In this case we had to remove a lot.

The block is a 351W Dart.

The Dart block uses 4 bolt mains.

Installing valves and valve seals.

Milling the engine deck.

Installing the cam bearings.

Preassemble the pistons.

Engine ready for testing.

Billet Specialties Tru Trac Pulley System.  The engine cost around $9000 plus $2000 worth of pulleys.   The belt is a Good Year Gatorback Poly-V #4060620.

Bringing the engine home.

The Engine with Cobra Air Breather and Valve Covers.

Oil Filler Cap is from Billet Specialties, part number 23220, cost around $27.

The Oil Dip Stick form Billet Specialties.  Hint, install this before installing the alternator.
