Final Assemble

The Dash for the StreetBeast Cobra is made of fiberglass.

We started the layout by cutting pieces out of cardboard the size of each instrument and taping them to the dash.

Then when we were sure of the layout, we marked, drilled and cut out the dash.

After cutting the holes, I painted the back side, which turned out to be a mistake.  The contact cement dissolved the paint.  Don't paint the back side of the dash!

We put 1/8 inch padding under the vinyl, stretched and glued it to the dash with contact cement and in some small spots we used super glue.

The padding under the vinyl gave the dash a nice, soft feel.

I know, you don't have to write me, putting AC in a cobra is crazy, but this one will have a rag top.
